As a native Manhattanite and an Actor’s Equity Assoc. member for over 30 years I have performed on Broadway, in National Companies, stock, regional theatre, Industrial shows and with the Poughkeepsie and Indianapolis operas in productions such as “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas”, “Sweet Charity”, “Damn Yankees”, “Cabaret”, “Bells Are Ringing”and “Die Fledermaus”. In addition I have appeared with my late, beloved voice teacher and friend Deborah Maher at Carnegie Hall, Odette’s Cabaret and various other club dates and fund raisers.
Depending on your voice type and what direction you would like to explore vocally we approach the mechanical elements such as breath control, mouth shape, tongue placement, jaw looseness, posture, mental focus and general relaxation. I classically train my students while also working the lower registers to develop vocal versatility.Whatever your goals, Pop, Rock, Country Western, Opera, and of course, Broadway my method will give you a strong background to perform the songs and arias you desire. Having been a performer in many venues for many years I can also help enhance your performance skills. Whether you want to sing at the Met, on Broadway or simply experience the joy of singing I will work with you to fulfill your aspirations.
